Between Beverly Osu and Our National Prostitutes

So our “National Whore” Beverly OSU (outcast in Igboland) finally gets down with her 90days confused ‘dada’ boyfy Angelo in a rather pathetic and undignified manner. But then what’s the difference between Miss OSU and our pathetic politRicians who f**’s us everyday without reprieve.

Now the difference is that unlike former Nigerian contestant, Ofunneka Monokwu who got drunk and was ‘FingerR*ped’ by a “married” ‘dada’ 5years younger than her, OSU warned us all with weeks of flirting and several foreplay…

You wouldn’t forget in a hurry the popular ‘fingering’ or “Nigeria’s sub-r*pe” as posited by movie maker Charles Novia which the people we elect don’t ever do before betraying us.

For your information, Beverly kept warning and preparing us for what to expect from her, making it obvious that her highly active libido which has in the past been satisfied by people like rapper 2shotz and several unconfirmed video directors(remember she is a so-called ‘video vixen’) could not endure the torture of 90days without getting some.

Although overnight, several blogs have made a lot of noise about the “uninteresting” bathtub act between both house mates making Beverly more mentioned online than GEJ and Dame altogether in the past 20hours, its quite disgusting the show of shock in some quarters over the act…as if we never saw it coming.

Apparently its high time I give my opinion on this evil BBA which has continued to glorify bad manners, dirty acts and ofcourse help create more jobless youths turned un-useful overnight celebs in the several participating countries. Africa seems to be at war…a war with poverty, bad governance, insecurity, economic crumbling, terrorism etc and all we can think of as a unifying factor is -in Novia’s voice “Ghana giving Tanzania STDs” or “South Africa sub-raping Nigeria” or perhaps the glorification of privates parts turned continental public areas for global consumption in the rather disgusting shower hour.

Like most young people, I am affected by what I read and watch on the internet and so it is left to imagination how many youths on the African continent who have been possessed by this show of shame and degradation of the African culture. Nigeria is at war in the North, Zimbabwe is in another political crisis-an aftermath of yet another Mugabe self transition, Mali at war with itself, Egypt in comatose and several other crisis on the continent and in one day, two unguarded young adults disgracing themselves and embarrassing their families overshadow all these turmoil. I can imagine Beverly’s mother watching the ‘bathtub show’ and saying proudly to her friends in Nollyhood’s Mama G’s voice…”that’s my girl”. Oh what an irony.

Over the years, Big Brother Africa organized by some disgusting firm in South Africa has continued to dement the thinking of young adults who now believe what they see is normal especially in the “globalization” context as against values they were taught by their parents and ofcourse our deceitful society. In the 2007 edition, Richard Bezuidenhout rapped the drunk Nigerian mate, Ofunneka and simply said there was nothing wrong with it. Like he said “Well, this is Africa”, the rest is history as the ‘Manual rapist’ as Richard was referred to went on to win the $100,000 prize of the game. Again what an irony.

Like the good Professor, Professor Wole Soyinka who thoroughly detest the continental show of shame, it is pertinent to at juncture posits that the silence kept by people who perhaps can make a positive change is most rather unwelcome. Its high time we all condemn in its entirety the activities of these agents of a demoralized Africa where our hard-core moral values which is synonymous to us as a peculiar people on the surface of the earth is being bastardized with the mask of entertainment.

Nigeria is a Country where pornography is condemned daily and several moves has been made to control internet porn yet BBA invades our airwaves with a milder kind of soft porn while we sit back perhaps hapless as teenagers and even their younger ones are introduced to a world of immorality right in their father’s parlor…atleast in the past kids who wanted to indulge in this had to do it with some discretion(hidden dvds, porn obtained through bluetooth from friends’ phones etc).

BBA Chase is a nuisance, why encourage youths to chase indignity above dignity, indecency above decency, why spend so much resources to promote moral decadence. Somebody needs tell, Multi Choice that Africa needs better moral teaching packages not a show where girls with kids out of wedlock and boys who should be fathoming a way forward for our economic lock jam only come to showcase their sexual prowess…

PERHAPS its high time our National Assembly who have in recent times shown interest in similar matters(#same sex marriage,#ChildBride et al) promulgate a law prohibiting any Nigerian citizen from participating in this show of shame while also prohibiting it from being aired on any Nigerian package on DSTV (We even heard when they tried deliberating on the possibility some years ago,it was frustrated by some UN-honorables who were quite excited about the shower hour). PERHAPS this might just be a way to begin checking the excesses of Multi Choice’s control of our airwaves.

At least we wouldn’t forget in a hurry the embarrassment given the country during the last Nations Cup over televising on local stations. Still on the Nations Cup,I believe this is enough for the unification of the continent unlike what the thieving organizers of the amoral BBA which promotes promiscuity among opposite sex. PERHAPS in the subsequent shows we should be watching out for homosexual intercourse shown live across the continent,I can just imagine life trans-country ‘bonning’ of course to our valueless chagrin.

PERHAPS our politicians would awake from their slumber then and start crying foul. Or PERHAPS,a rift which might someday go bad with the use of sharp objects resulting to PERHAPS bodily harm or even ‘God forbid on their behalf’ PERHAPS murder.

Come to think of it, what justification do we even have as Nigerians after all an OSU sorry OAU (Obafemi Awolowo University) student has recently entered the Guinness book of World record for Longest sex covering 15hours, 7Mins and 23seconds, I wonder what this would do to us as a nation.

Perhaps, I should never have even written this or PERHAPS it is my obligation to in order to prevent our future generation from living in a society where immorality ‘is nothing’

“I am a victim of domestic violence” – Actress Chika Ike opens up

Actress Chike Ike pens an open letter to her fans, opening up about the physical abuse she suffered in the hands of the man she called her husband for five years. Find her story below…

The past three years has been a very emotional period for me. I focused my energy on work and to build back my self esteem. its been really hard for me to come out straight and talk about this because sometimes I pinch myself to wake up and not believe that I was a victim of domestic violence. I’ve been through a lot in my life, faced a lot of challenges but this is one topic I’ve tried so hard to avoid and have been waiting for the right time but I have come to a resolve   that there’s really no right time because every second of the day, lives are being lost due to domestic violence.  I was a victiim of domestic violence in my marriage and that was the singular reason I left my marriage, aside other reasons.

Growing up as a girl. I was always known as the sweetest kid on the block, before I got married, I have been through some relationships and for once no man had ever laid a finger on me. The first time it happened in my marriage I didn’t understand it because I am not the type of woman a man beats but I guess there are no types. It just happens and no woman deserves it. As a young girl I thought it was love or his way of expressing his emotions, after every beating he pleads , cries and says it won’t happen again, once again I thought it was love and made excuses for him.  Over the years when it kept happening consistently I started looking for other definitions for it.  I started loosing my self pride, self esteem , self worth, and most painfully i lost  a pregnancy (Miscarriage) I almost lost my life in the process then I realised how serious and abnormal it really was.

I have heard and read a lot of accusations from ignorant people who don’t know my story,I guess that’s why they are ignorant.  I was 20yrs old and  very naïve to the world when I got married .“ They said I married for money“ LOL. I was married to a corporate guy,who had a 9_5 job in a bank, Lives in a rented 2 bedroom apartment at Egbe..  So do the maths! . I married for love. I did a traditional wedding. A white wedding and a court wedding. So that’s how much I wanted to be married forever.  For five years I hoped, prayed & wished that one day it will all change. But the last straw that broke the carmels back was during a heated argument he threw a glass  jug to my face and I dogged it and it shattered on d wall. I saw death flash before me and I made a decision to save my life. I left my marriage.

Am not saying  this to draw pity from anyone because we are entitled to our opinions and believes. I am not also saying this to discourage people from falling in love because its a beautiful feeling and I still believe in it. I am saying this to educate, share and talk about my experience as a victim of domestic violence because it is real

Intercepted: Ayman al-Zawahri, who was bin Laden’s number two, ordered the head of al Qaeda in Yemen to launch the attack

The global terror alert that brought the closure of 19 U.S. embassies across the Muslim world was the result of a secret message the head of al Qaeda in Pakistan sent to his counterpart in Yemen ordering him to launch a strike, two security officials revealed today.

A U.S. intelligence official and a Mideast diplomat said electronic communications were picked up several weeks ago between Ayman al-Zawahri – the head of the global terror network who succeeded Osama bin Laden – and Nasser al-Wuhayshi, head of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

Officials had previously called the communication ‘strategically significant’ and likened the intelligence ‘chatter’ to that intercepted in the days leading up to 9/11.

‘This was significant because it was the big guys talking, and talking about very specific timing for an attack or attacks,’ one American official briefed on the intelligence reports told theNew York Times.

The news comes as the State Department extended the closure of 19 embassies and consulates across North Africa and the Middle East for the rest of the week amid fears of a ‘big’ and ‘strategically significant’ terrorist attack.

The two officials said the target has not been revealed but was significant in that it is extremely rare for senior al Qaeda leaders in Pakistan to discuss operational matters with the group’s affiliates.

Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the sensitive issue publicly.

The identity of the two al Qaeda leaders helps to explain why the U.S. took such an unprecedented step closing 19 embassies and reflect the seriousness of the plot. It also raises questions about what form of electronic communication they used and are al Qaeda members increasingly using modern technology to communicate – especially considering bin Laden’s aversion to cell phones.

Also the very fact they are communicating at all is also significant in that it shows the growth of the terror network.

American spies and intelligence analysts on Monday scoured email, phone calls and radio communications between al Qaeda operatives in Yemen and the organization’s senior leaders to determine the timing and targets of the planned attack.

Authorities in Yemen, meanwhile, released the names of 25 wanted al Qaeda suspects and said those people had been planning terrorist attacks targeting ‘foreign offices and organizations and Yemeni installations’ in the capital Sanaa and other cities across the country.

The Yemeni government also went on high alert Monday, stepping up security at government facilities and checkpoints.

Officials in the U.S. wouldn’t say who intercepted the initial suspect communications – the CIA, the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency or one of the other intelligence agencies – that kicked off the sweeping pre-emptive closure of U.S. facilities.

But an intelligence official said the controversial NSA programs that gather data on American phone calls or track Internet communications with suspected terrorists played no part in detecting the initial tip.

Once the plot was detected, NSA analysts could use the programs that leaker Edward Snowden revealed to determine whom the plotters may have contacted around the world. Snowden revealed one program that collected telephone data such as the numbers called and the duration of calls on U.S. telephone networks.

Another program searched global Internet usage. Therefore, if a new name was detected in the initial chatter, the name or phone number of that person could be run through the NSA databases to see whom he called or what websites or emails he visited.

The surveillance is part of the continuing effort to track the spread of al Qaeda from its birthplace in Afghanistan and Pakistan to countries where governments and security forces are weaker and less welcoming to the U.S. or harder for American counterterrorist forces to penetrate – such as Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Mali and Libya – as well as Yemen, already home to al-Qaida’s most dangerous affiliate, al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which is headed by al-Wahishi.

Early reports indicated that the possible strike could involve a terrorist attack mounted by people with explosives surgically-implanted inside them – bombs capable of passing undetected through airport security.

On Sunday, Senator Saxby Chambliss of Georgia said ‘the chatter’ intercepted by U.S. intelligence agencies was ‘very reminiscent of what we saw pre-9/11.’

‘The one thing that we can talk about is the fact that there’s been an awful lot of chatter out there,’ Chambliss said. ‘We didn’t take heed on 9/11 in a way that we should, but here I think it’s very important that we do take the right kind of planning.’

ABC News reports that a senior American security source sayid officials are worried about explosive devices that can pass undetected through airport screening devices like metal detectors and body scanners.

U.S. extends closure of embassies

‘We are concerned about surgically implanted devices,’ the source said.

‘These are guys who have developed the techniques to defeat our detection methods.’

The State Department originally said the 19 U.S. embassies and consulates in the Middle east and North Africa would be closed through Saturday ‘out of an abundance of caution’ and that a number of them would have been closed anyway for most of the week due to the Eid celebration at the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The diplomatic posts include those in Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Within the US the Department of Homeland Security has increased security at airports, train stations and transportation hubs. Security screening is also being increased into visitors coming into the country, officials told ABC News.

Representative C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger, the top Democrat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told ABC’s ‘This Week’ on Sunday that the information intercepted from ‘high-level people in al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula’ included threats of a ‘major attack.’

‘We’re not certain exactly where something might happen but it’s very specific as to when and it’s also very specific as to the fact that it is going to happen, so we have to be on alert everywhere,’  Rep. Peter King, chairman of the subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, toldWINS-AM. He said the threat is the ‘most specific’ he’s seen since the 9/11 attacks.

‘There’s very little doubt that something serious is being planned,’ King told CNN. ‘It’s a potential series of attacks. It could be anywhere.’

The U.S. issued a global travel alert for American travelers on Friday after intercepting electronic communication among top al Qaeda operatives in Yemen regarding an attack in its final planning stages. The al Qaeda affiliate in Yemen has been linked to plots to blow up American-bound cargo and commercial flights, according to the New York Times.

If traveling outside the U.S., King said: ‘I would let the American embassy know where you are. Basically check in and where you are and how long you plan to stay there and what your itinerary is.’

State Department officials said Thursday that they were taking action out of an ‘abundance of caution’ after receiving information the terror group was in the final stages of planning for an unspecified attack.

The terror group and its affiliates ‘may focus efforts to conduct attacks in the period between now and the end of August,’ the State Department said.

Spokeswoman Marie Harf cited information indicating a threat to U.S. facilities overseas and said some diplomatic facilities may stay closed for more than a day.

A source told CNNthe preparations appeared to have increased in recent days with the approaching end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

A U.S. official noted it was unclear whether the plot would be directed at a target inside Yemen or elsewhere.

Those officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly about the matter.

The British embassy in Yemen is to be closed on Sunday and Monday as ‘a precautionary measure’, the Foreign Office confirmed today.

On the heels of the American foreign travel alert, Interpol has issued a global security alert in connection with suspected al-Qaida involvement in several recent prison escapes including those in Iraq, Libya and Pakistan.

The Lyon, France-based international police agency said Saturday that the alert follows ‘the escape of hundreds of terrorists and other criminals’ from prisons in the past month. The alert calls on Interpol’s 190 member countries to help determine whether these events are coordinated or linked, the organization said.

On Sunday South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham called the threat ‘scary’, saying al Qaeda has been ‘on steroids’ since the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last year.

He told CNN: ‘I had a briefing with the vice president and it is scary. Al Qaeda is on the rise in this part of the world.

‘They attacked our consulate, they killed an ambassador, a year has passed, and nobody has paid a price.

‘After Benghazi, these al Qaeda types are really on steroids thinking we’re weaker and they’re stronger.’

The State Department issued a major warning last year informing American diplomatic facilities across the Muslim world about potential violence connected to the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Dozens of American installations were besieged by protest over an anti-Islam video made by an American resident.

In Benghazi, Libya, the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans were killed when militants assaulted a diplomatic post. The administration no longer says that attack was related to the demonstrations.

The United States is locking down its embassies and consulates throughout the Muslim world on Sunday after receiving an unspecified threat, officials said.

Quoted by ABC News, one official said the closures were a response to a ‘specific threat against a U.S. embassy or consulate,’ described as a ‘concerted effort’ to target an embassy or consulate in a Muslim country.

The official also said that ‘there could be other targets, not just embassies’.

According to the news service, 28 U.S. installations will close Sunday, including  offices in Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

The threat comes close to a year after four American consulate workers in Libya were killed in a night time arson attack.

Dozens of American installations were besieged by protest over an anti-Islam video made by an American resident.

In Benghazi, Libya, the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans were killed when militants assaulted a diplomatic post.

An armed mob attacked and set fire to the consulate building in their protest against the amateur film – deemed offensive to Islam’s prophet, Muhammad – after similar protests in Egypt’s capital.

The administration no longer says that attack was related to the demonstrations.

The mass closure of U.S. embassies and consulates across the MENA region also comes almost 15 years ago to the day that hundreds of people were killed in simultaneous terrorist attacks, conducted by al Qaeda, on U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam.

In Dar es Salaam, 10 Tanzanians were killed and more than 85 Americans and Tanzanians were injured. The blast at the U.S. embassy in Nairobi killed at least 212 people and wounded an estimated 4,000.

In his recent visit to Africa, U.S. President Barack Obama paid his respects to those who lost their lives in the attacks.

In Britain, the Foreign Office said it was not shutting any embassies but has urged its staff in the Middle East and in Arab states to be vigilant.

‘US Embassies in the region have been instructed to close on Sunday August 4. The British Embassies remain open, but staff have been advised to exercise extra vigilance as we approach Eid,’ a spokesman said.

‘We are aware of reports and are in close contact with the US authorities. We will consider every Embassy on case by case basis; clearly the safety of our staff overseas is our highest priority.

‘Our travel advice remains under constant review. We are not going to comment on intelligence matters.’

Shocking Revelations: Young Mexican Women Defiled 25 Times A Day

US authorities say young Mexican women were driven to rural New Jersey and forced to have s*x with 25 farm workers a day or were confined to dingy brothels in the New York City area, being paid very little or nothing at all.

A criminal complaint charges 13 people with smuggling dozens of women into the United States and forcing them into prostitution.

Some of the defendants were to appear Wednesday in federal court in Manhattan to face multiple counts including s*x trafficking and interstate transportation for prostitution.

The ring “lured their unsuspecting victims to the United States and then consigned them to a living hell,” US Attorney Preet Bharara said in a statement.

The investigation was among several aimed at “blockading the repugnant s*x trafficking corridor” used to exploit victims from Tenancingo, Mexico, said James Hayes, head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in New York.

Tenancingo, an impoverished town in Tlaxcala state, has long been a notorious haven for pimps who use a combination of threats, abuse and broken promises of marriage and jobs to put innocent victims, some only in their teens, on a path to s*x slavery in Mexico City and in large cities in the United States.

Most victims eventually manage to escape, authorities say in court papers.

But “without legal status in the United States, without family and friends for support, without employment opportunities and as a result of the trauma they suffered, victims sometimes return to prostitution.”

According to the complaint, the ring provided its victims with condoms and birth control pills while making them have s*x with up to 30 men a day. The men paid $30 for 15 minutes.

The women sometimes got a $15 cut, but that usually went to the traffickers. If convicted, some of the defendants face a maximum sentence of life in prison.

He claimed a priest guaranteed him a much-prized son and heir if he did not have his bath and thats the reason for his unconventional decision.

His religious guidance clearly failed him as he has seven daughters and would be lucky to persuade his wife to have any more children.

Mr Singh spends his days tending cows in 47C heat, yet the only ‘cleansing’ he does allow himself is a fire bath each evening, which involves smoking marijuana, praying to the Hindu Lord Shiva and dancing around a bonfire.

His long-suffering family admit they did once tried to force him into a stream.”He fought us off and ran away,” said wife Kalavati Devi, 60.

“We’ve tried several times since to force him to have a shower but he puts up such a fuss. He says he’d rather die than take a bath and only a son could change his mind.

He admits neighbours in the rural village of Chatav make fun of him but said he is following god’s will.

“Children tease and shout that I don’t wash when I ride my bicycle through the village,’ he said. There are many people who have a poor character that mock me for not washing. They do not understand my decision but I will not change my mind as it is god’s choice, not mine,” he said.

2015: South East PDP Endorses Jonathan For Second Term At Awka Rally

GEJThe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South East Zone, on Friday adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s Presidential candidate in the 2015 presidential elections.

Disclosing this at a PDP rally held at Ekwueme square, Awka, Anambra State, the South East zonal vice chairman of the party, Austin Akobundu, said President Jonathan had done well in office and deserves a second tenure.

“The PDP in the South East zone has declared its full support for Mr. President, Goodluck Jonathan, to contest a second term in office.

“He has done very well, he deserves second term and we the PDP in the South East zone will work very hard to deliver him,” Mr. Akobundu said.

Chris Uba and his elder brother Senator Andy Uba (Anambra South), were notably absent at the rally where the PDP gubernatorial aspirants for the November 16 governorship election in Anambra were presented to party members and supporters.

Also, two other gubernatorial aspirants of the party: Sule Gboma and Mike Okoye, were absent at the PDP rally.

The absence of some aspirants was because of the crack within the PDP fold in the State resulting from the protracted leadership tussle in the state had yet to be resolved.

At the rally, Keneth Emekayi was presented by Mr. Akobundu as the authentic chairman of the party in the state as confirmed by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

However, Erika Oguebego, another factional state chairman of the party, is recognised by the Ubas and the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC.

The PDP governorship aspirants who attended the rally were Nicholas Ukachukwu, Josephine Anenih (sole female aspirant), Sylvester Okonkwo, and Obinna Uzoh.

Others were Ugochukwu Okeke, Walter Ubaka Okeke, Tony Nwoye, Senator Emma Anosike, Alex Obiogbolu and Charles Odunukwe.

Addressing the rally, a member of the PDP NWC, Effiong Bassey, said that the party was committed to regaining Anambra State.

He said the NWC had set up four committees, lead by former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, to supervise exercise that would produce credible party candidates for both local government and governorship elections in the State.

In his speech, Mr. Emeakayi pledged that the party leadership in the state was committed to regain the state for the party.

He urged the party’s national leadership to ensure that the candidates of the party for the governorship elections emerged through a transparent primary and not through an imposition

Why I proposed to Lola Omotayo” – P Square’s Peter Okoye

One half of the multiple award-winning P-Square, Peter Okoye, last Tuesday, shocked many of his fans when he finally proposed to Lola Omotayo, his long time friend and mother of his two kids (Cameron and Aliona) with a diamond ring and a brand new white Range Rover Vogue worth N15 million.

The proposal put to rest the widespread criticisms that have trailed their relationship over the years. Lola, who said ‘Yes’ to the proposal, reportedly was close to tears when the musician slipped the diamond engagement ring into her finger, and handed the car keys to her.

Peter, who didn’t give Lola prior notice of his plan, visited her residence with the car and parked it inside her compound. On the bonnet of the vehicle, he also dropped a rose flower and a love card with the inscription, ‘Please say Yes.’ This drama was followed by a long passionate kiss from the love birds.

Minutes later, the musician posted on his Instagram and Twitter handle saying, “It’s about time,” and shortly after, he also posted that “she said yes.” He later updated his Blackberry status with “Officially, she’s now Mrs. Okoye…”

Speaking on why he decided to propose to Lola, Peter said: “it is something I had always wanted to do and I knew I would definitely do this to Lola one day, but I needed to wait for the right time. Honestly, she deserves even more from me.” he said.

On her own, Lola said, “it is a day the Lord has made. I’m excited the way any woman in my shoes would.”

The romance between Peter and Lola started many years ago, even before Peter became a celebrity.

Their relationship is already blessed with two kids; Cameron and Aliona Okoye.

A Public Relations expert said that, Lola met Peter while she was working with FKG2, an advertising company.
